TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2016,6:30-9:30PM

In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to explore a millennia old technique of creating patterns on fabric through an unparralelled resist application.

Stitch resist, more than any other shibori or tie-dye technique, allows for broad creative control and the creation of any design you can imagine, from abstract to pictorial, simple to complex. It also allows for a relaxed environment and meditative process; the workshop will be equal parts sewing circle and dye lab.

Students will explore a variety of stitch-resist techniques by creating samplers.

• All materials are included, students are encouraged to bring their own garments for personal projects.
• Blank fabric and clothing are also avalable for purchase at wholesale prices.
• Space is limited to ensure everyone has ample time with the instructor.
• Snacks will be provided, BYOB!
